How to Buy Perfume Bottles in Bulk from China
Buying perfume bottles in bulk starts with defining the pack you need. The glass bottle, spray pump, collar, cap and protective packing should be considered together, even if they appear as separate items on the quotation.
For brand owners, importers and contract fillers, the goal is a repeatable specification that can be quoted, sampled and reordered. This guide follows that process from the first inquiry to delivery planning.
1. Prepare a brief that suppliers can quote
Choose a target capacity, quantity and bottle style. Include product links, photographs or drawings, and explain which features are essential. Specify whether you need undecorated glass, a decorated existing bottle or a new mold.
List quantities by version. “6,000 bottles” could mean one design with one logo, or several colors and artworks requiring separate setups. Those requests may not have the same minimum order or price.
Add the required pump and cap, your filling method, destination and target receipt date. If the bottle must work on an existing filling line, involve the filler before selecting the neck finish.
2. Check availability and order minimums
STDBOTTLE offers available undecorated stock bottles from 1,000 pieces. Spray coating, hot stamping and printing require at least 3,000 pieces per bottle model, per color and per logo version; quantities cannot be combined across variants. New-mold bottle production starts from 15,000 sets.
Confirm that the exact stock reference is available. Each model/color/logo version must meet its own decoration minimum; separate variants cannot be pooled. Check which components are included in the quotation.
Use our MOQ guide to prepare those questions before requesting a quotation.
3. Compare quotations on the same specification
Request separate lines for glass, pump, cap, collar, decoration, development and packing. Identify any services or accessories that are excluded. The delivery point and freight scope should also be clear so that offers can be compared fairly.
Ask who will coordinate the final assembly when different components come from different production sources. Keep the agreed product references and drawing revisions with the quotation, rather than relying only on messages or photographs.

4. Approve a representative sample
An undecorated stock sample can help evaluate shape and handling. It does not approve a later coating, logo or different pump. Identify which aspects each sample represents and which remain open.
Review the complete assembly with the intended filling partner. Agree on appearance, fit, dispensing and relevant compatibility checks before bulk approval. Our sample approval checklist provides a buyer-side record for that review.
For a custom-mold project, distinguish the sample-mold stage from production tooling. A successful sample is an approval step; it is not evidence that every mold needed for the commercial run is already prepared.
5. Build the schedule around approval gates
Our new-mold reference is approximately 25 days for mold making and sampling, followed by approximately 50 days for first bulk production after the sample passes testing and is approved. That first bulk stage includes production-mold preparation.
Lead times are approximate calendar days, counted from receipt of the advance payment for the relevant stage. Available undecorated stock dispatch takes about 10 days; printing or spray coating takes about 15–20 days. For new molds, allow about 25 days for sample tooling and sampling, then about 50 days for first bulk production after sample testing and approval. Repeat bulk production with established tooling takes about 40 days. Customer approval delays, revisions and transit are separate; the bulk stage cannot start before sample approval.
6. Specify packing before the goods are ready
Request the proposed carton arrangement and protective method. Confirm whether bottles and accessories are packed together or separately, how each item is identified, and whether pallet dimensions or handling restrictions apply at your warehouse.
Ask for units per carton, carton dimensions and gross weight when available. Your logistics provider needs this information to assess transport. Agree which shipping documents and destination-specific requirements apply with your freight or customs adviser rather than assuming every shipment is identical.
7. Prepare the repeat order while approving the first
Keep approved samples, drawings, artwork files, component references and packing details under one project reference. Record revisions explicitly. A reorder should identify the approved version and any changes in quantity, finish or destination.
Questions buyers ask
Can I buy bottles without pumps and caps?
State that you want glass only and confirm the quote scope. If you will source accessories elsewhere, share their drawings before approving the bottle.
Does production lead time include transport?
Ask for the manufacturing and delivery schedules separately. A production estimate should not be treated as an arrival date unless the quotation explicitly defines it that way.
