Custom Perfume Bottle MOQ: What Changes the Minimum Order?

The minimum order quantity for a perfume bottle depends on what you are asking the supplier to supply or produce. Available undecorated bottles, decorated existing bottles and a new molded shape are different orders, even when they share the same capacity.

STDBOTTLE offers available undecorated stock bottles from 1,000 pieces. Spray coating, hot stamping and printing require at least 3,000 pieces per bottle model, per color and per logo version; quantities cannot be combined across variants. New-mold bottle production starts from 15,000 sets.

The decoration MOQ is counted separately for each model, each color and each logo. Mixing colors, models or logo versions to reach a combined 3,000 pieces is not accepted.

Why decorating an existing bottle changes the order

Available stock can be selected from finished inventory. Decoration adds production preparation for the specified finish or artwork. The supplier needs a defined version to plan that work, so your color and logo breakdown becomes part of the commercial brief.

For example, 3,000 bottles split into three colors at 1,000 each does not qualify. Three colors with one model and one logo require at least 9,000 pieces, with 3,000 in each color. Likewise, 6,000 bottles split equally among three colors does not qualify.

For two alternative logos on the same shape and color, each logo version requires at least 3,000 pieces: 6,000 total. A single bottle carrying multiple printed elements is one artwork version, but its process and pricing still need review.

A new mold is a separate production decision

Mold-making fees and minimum order quantities answer different questions. Paying for tooling does not automatically make any requested production quantity feasible.

Our US$1,600–2,500 tooling range covers the full mold set for the agreed bottle project, including sample and production tooling; production molds are not charged again later for that project. Sampling is US$200–500 including shipping, and the sampling fee can be credited against the subsequent bulk order payment. Confirm the design scope, sample quantity and revision arrangements in the quotation.

We begin with sample tooling; after testing and approval, production molds are prepared for the run. Their number depends on the order plan, and their cost is already included in the agreed full tooling fee.

New-mold bulk production starts from 15,000 sets. Paying the mold fee does not reduce that minimum, and the 3,000-piece decoration minimum does not replace it. See stock bottles versus custom molds for the route comparison.

Accessories can affect the practical order size

A bottle quantity is not always the same as a complete-set quantity. Confirm the availability and minimums for your selected pump, cap and collar, especially if they require a specific finish or a new design.

Before approving a glass order, ask whether you can obtain the matching accessories in the required quantity. Keep the quantity for every component visible in the offer and identify any agreed spare quantities separately.

Ways to simplify a smaller launch

Start by deciding which customization features are essential. You may be able to select an available glass shape, use one decoration version or choose an existing cap design. Ask the supplier to compare these alternatives rather than promising a low MOQ for a combination that has not been reviewed.

Do not increase the order only to reach a more attractive unit price without considering storage and expected sales. Compare the full commitment, including development, components and packing. Our quotation guide explains the relevant cost lines.

For a future reorder, confirm both quantity and availability again. Existing tooling may shorten the development path, but it does not automatically remove the production minimum.

Questions buyers ask

Our 1,000-piece minimum applies to available undecorated stock. Printing, spray coating and hot stamping require 3,000 pieces per model, color and logo version.
